dc.description.abstract	Příspěvek se zabývá otázkou lidské důstojnosti a jejího významu v paliativní péči. Sleduje proměnu vnímání pojmu v průběhu dějin lidského myšlení, zejména z hlediska filozofie a reflektuje její současné koncepty. Pozornost je věnována rovněž dokumentům týkajících se lidských práv respektu k lidské důstojnosti se zvláštním zřetelem na ochranu práv nevyléčitelně nemocných a umírajících. Příspěvek se zabývá principy a podstatou paliativní péče. Cílem příspěvku je reflexe paliativní péče v roli „garanta“ zachování lidské důstojnosti na konci života.	cze

It monitors the changes in the perception of the concept throughout the history of human thought, especially in terms of philosophy and reflects its current concepts. Attention is also paid to documents relating to human rights and respect for human dignity, with special regard to the protection of the rights of the terminally ill and dying. The paper deals with the principles and essence of palliative care.
