dc.description.abstract The study discusses physical activity concerning pupils of elementary school age at a traditional state school and an alternative school utilizing Jena plan. Their physical activity is measured by mechanical pedometers and is followed by in-depth interviews. The monitored group consists of third and fifth graders at selected schools. The research has indicated and analysed students' physical activity based on their age, gender and the type of school. eng
