dc.description.abstract	Studie na téma Obludná nadvláda žen nad životem a tvorbou Johna Knoxe se zabývá analýzou a následnou interpretací pramenů dokumentujících jak Knoxův život, tak i jeho odbornou tvorbu. Předmět zkoumání byla především Knoxova korespondence a nejznámější práce dokumentující jeho názory na ženy panovnice První zatroubení polnic proti obludné nadvládě žen. Studie tak přináší zevrubný rozbor jednotlivých Knoxových argumentů namířených proti ženským nárokům na vládu, které zasazuje do dobového kontextu nejen z hlediska politické situace, ale také Knoxova osobního života. Tato práce tak dokazuje, jak velký byl vliv ženské vlády v Anglii a Skotsku 16. století na život a tvorbu Johna Knoxe.	cze

dc.description.abstract-translated	Research Monstrous Regiment of Women over the Life and Work of John Knox deals with the analysis and interpretation of primary sources documenting John Knox´s personal life and work. The main subject of this historical investigation was Knox´s correspondence and the most famous work documenting his kind of view on female rulers The First Blast of Trumpet against the Monstrous Regiment of Women. Research provides analysis of Knox´s individual arguments against womens claims on the throne and government, which puts it in a contemporary context not only in terms of the political situation but also Knox´s personal life. This work demonstrates how strong was connection between English and Scottish 16th century female rulers and life and work of John Knox.	eng
