| dc.description.abstract | As Agile methodologies face increasing complexity and demands for continuous delivery, Artificial Intelligence (AI) presents opportunities to enhance communication and predictive decision-making. However, adoption remains inconsistent due to persistent technical and ethical barriers. This study employs a sequential explanatory mixed-methods design, analyzing data from an exploratory structured survey of 54 Agile practitioners followed by semi-structured interviews analyzed using Constructivist Grounded Theory. Results indicate that while 78% of teams have experimented with AI, only 11% have achieved embedded integration. Furthermore, a cross-tabulation analysis reveals a maturity paradox: while exploratory teams primarily struggle with technical literacy, mature teams encounter significant ethical and data-governance barriers. Results are presented as indicative, advancing a preliminary conceptual model intended to stimulate further empirical validation. Addressing these challenges, the paper proposes a Purpose-Aligned Layered Framework grounded in Wholeness Systems Thinking. This three-layered model-comprising Foundation, Integration, and Outcome-guides teams in aligning AI tools with specific Agile ceremonies to augment, rather than replace, human collaboration and adaptability. | eng |
